Welcome to the AMAX Youth Speed Clinic! Whether you’re looking to shave seconds off your personal best or boost your in-game performance, you’re in the right place. Over the course of this clinic, we’ll focus on developing the key components of speed in both technique and power development.

Day one

Drive phase

  • Warm-Up and Mobility: Begin with a series of fun, interactive warm-up exercises and mobility drills to prepare the body for optimal performance and prevent injuries.
  • Speed Mechanics: Learn the fundamentals of effective sprinting form, including proper posture, foot strike, and arm drive. Emphasis will be placed on technique to build a strong foundation.
  • Acceleration Drills: Participate in drills focused on explosive starts and acceleration, crucial for improving initial speed and getting a quick jump out of the blocks.

Day Two

Front Side Mechanics

  • Dynamic Warm-Up: Start with a high-energy warm-up that incorporates dynamic movements and drills to activate the muscles and boost agility.
  • Top-End Speed Training: Focus on techniques and drills to maximize top-end speed, including sprint intervals and resistance training to improve running efficiency and speed endurance.
  • Agility and Quickness Drills: Participate in fun, fast-paced drills that enhance agility, quickness, and reaction time, helping athletes become more versatile and effective in any sport.
